About MASHA
Q: How do you become the one and only interior designer your dream clients want to work with?
A: You create emotional connection through story.
To become your dreamiest clients' go-to design expert, you need more than overused generic website words like "authentic", "luxury" and "elevated".
You need a point of view that's distinctly yours and a brand voice that grabs attention.
A brand story that brings your brilliance into focus like the perfect, showstopping centerpiece.
Copy that sounds like you. Only better.

Hey, I'm
I live and breathe interior design(it's where I hang out for fun).
I'm the copywriter, creative storyteller, published author, and host of the Marketing for Designers Podcast.
After almost two decades honing my marketing expertise at global and national big guns like KPMG, Deloitte, Pearson and OpenText, I decided to niche down in an area I'm truly passionate about - copywriting for interior designers.
Everyone has a zone of genius. For my clients, it's their design skills. For me, it's the ability to see what you may not see in yourself and find the right words to say it.
Fuelled by my research obsession and love for creative storytelling, I use my signature REVEAL framework to pinpoint the differentiator that will emotionally resonate with your ideal clients.
Oh, you want to know more about me as a human?
Let me make us both a latte. Go ahead, make yourself at home.
- I've always loved looking at beautiful interiors.
- Back in university days, my favorite thing to do after school was to stop by my local bookstore, sip a latte and browse interior design magazines.
- I looove getting lost in antique stores and even restore old furniture.
- There's something special about finding old, antique things with history and imagining the life they've lived before I found them.
Why interior design niche?
When I started writing for interior designers, chatting with them, learning about what they do and how they do, and listening to interior design podcasts, I was blown away by how much work goes into creating a beautiful space.
It's never just a beautiful space. I'm forever intrigued by how designers create spaces that make you feel something. The tiniest, seemingly insignificant details can create emotional connection.
Interior design and copywriting are both about capturing an emotionally resonant story.
I love writing for interior designers because it offers the perfect mix of strategic words and creative storytelling.
When I talk to my interior designer clients, I spend hours unearthing stories about their business and their passion (and love every minute of it).
But I spend an equal amount of time unearthing your client's stories - because these are the ones we need to know to find the emotional resonance.
To discover and articulate the emotional thread that resonates from you, all the way through to your clients and the world they live in.
MASHA'S
fun facts
When I'm not helping interior designers find the RIGHT words to connect with their dream clients, you'll find me…
- Killing a couple of hours at a thrift store.
- Restoring old and antique furniture. My garage is a hot mess cuz I'm constantly picking up furniture, either off the side of the road or at the thrift store. It's literally why I opted for an extra roomy SUV with a humongous trunk space. I say it's because I have three kids, but that's a lie :).
- Indulging my weird obsession with unique-looking chairs and old doors. I once fully restored 8 dining room chairs and reupholstered them with a beautiful jacquard-type fabric in black and gold. They now live happily in my dining room. Message me if you want proof and I'll email you a photo.:)
- Addicted to learning. Lifelong learner. Serial course taker. Always enrolling in something new.
- Drinking coffee. Can not go one day without it. My drink of choice is a hot latte with oat milk. It always makes my day.
- Ooooor bubble tea. It's my weekly treat. My favorite is Earl Grey milk tea with tapioca from Chatime.
- Hanging out with my 3 kids: two girls and one boy, and an anti-social Siamese cat Bailey.
- Anytime I'm travelling and see a massive old door, my kids know that I need to stop, touch it and take a picture against it.
